Nooky Gossip 77: January Event with FAFF Designs - Livestream! And NEW Homeware!

Online! Streamed Live Private Event Option Now Available!

Due to popular demand we are now offering an online streamed event that you can watch live wherever you are! We will contact you one week before the event with a link, and details of how the online stream will work. There will be opportunities to ask questions and interact with Connie and myself, as well as the attendees. You will also receive a 10% off code for any online purchases during the evening. The stream will begin @6.30pm until finish. A copy of the livestream recording will also be made available to ticketholders in case you can't make it on the day.

 Those attending in person at our new store at 82 High Street, Burton will be greeted with a glass of Prosecco and nibbles, before sitting back and watching the master of colour at work.

Connie will be demonstrating her fabulous skills and creating furniture pieces with the use of Dixie Belle Paint and accessories.

Connie is a great entertainer with her bold and fun personality!

You will have a chance to ask questions about her rise to fame in the paint world, how she juggles her business and home-life and get some insider secrets as to how she has built her successful business.

Smelling Good!

We've expanded our home and gift range to include some gorgeous new smellies that are also vegan, eco-friendly, and produced locally by La Zouch Soaps! They are just want you need to keep Veganuary even more vegan!

La Zouch Soaps make handmade soap, candles and more, made in small batches from natural ingredients and created in the heart of the National Forest in Leicestershire, UK.

Wax Tablet Air Freshener

Made from scented wax, they’re not designed for a large room, but are ideal for small areas or cupboards. Lasting up to 3 months, and once the scent has faded you can then break them up and use them in your wax melt burner! They also contain botanicals which make them look amazing!

Hand Poured Candles

Made with a blend of Rapeseed and Coconut Oil wax. Containing no paraffin, soy, beeswax or palm oil, they’re very eco-friendly. They come in lovely amber jars so you can see the flame flickering as the candle burns, and are topped with a lid to keep them dust free.

Handmade Soaps

These stunning handmade soaps are all made with Shea and Mango butter to make them soft and moisturising. Which is quite handy when you’re washing your hands a lot! They come in three lovely scents and packaged in simple rustic cardboard packaging.

Sisal Soap Saver

An easy way to use your soap and exfoliate at the same time. It’s also good for using up soap at the end of its life. Simply put the soap in the bag, close the toggle and lather up! They fit one of our full size soaps. Hang the bag up after use to dry out and dry the soap as well. 

Reed Diffuser

Clear 100ml bottles with a silver top, simply remove the wadding, dip the reeds (included) in the top, turn them over and insert the reeds into the scented oil to make your home smell amazing all day long!

Room Spray

Made with pure essential oils for a lovely burst of fragrance. You can also use them on linens or fabrics, but just make sure you do a small spray test first to check they don’t discolour the fabric. 

In the spotlight this week is Connie Clarke from FAFF Designs! Yes we're taking this opportunity to give you a tiny taste of her amazing talents and show you why you should attend our event on 21st January!

This cabinet is a piece that Connie actually did for herself. We've all been subjected to super orange pine furniture - second hand furniture and charity shops are full of them. And this piece from Connie started off with a dark orange pine finish but she worked her magic to turn it into a something much softer and more in keeping with her home!

Connie first stripped the cabinet back to remove the original stain, and then applied Dixie Belle Paint Company's No Pain Gel Stain in Picklin' White. She really worked this into the grain to get the look she wanted. Once it was fully dry she then finished it with Best Dang Wax in White to highlight areas and create tonal variations.

Isn't it beautiful?! The woodgrain on show is simply stunning!
