IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS!

This week we bring you some ideas for how to bling up your baubles and tart up tatty decorations ready for the festive season! You can tailor and tweak the colour scheme and finishes to your own preference making your decorations unique to your home!

Metallics are always a favourite at Christmas! Posh Chalk products are the bees knees for adding bling to your décor and home made presents. The baubles and toy soldiers in the picture above were created using Fusion Metallics but you can make your own amazing metallic paint with Posh Chalk Pigments and Infusor - meaning you have more shades to pick from and can mix as much or as little as you need to paint over your old baubles, decorate gift tags or add the sparkling finishing touches to a picture frame Christmas present. The brand new product, Precious Diamond Dust can be used to make a cute, sparkling snowman decoration, like the example below from WooduBend.

Did you know Gemstone Mousse and Belles & Whistles Stencils can be used to paint fabric, such as cushions, pillows and napkins? You can make bespoke home décor and gifts by stencilling watered down Gemstone Mousse onto your chosen fabric, allowing it to dry for about a week to make sure they are fully dry and cured, and then just use and wash as normal! Posh Chalk sell Christmas themed stencils that would work well for this too!

Try out some of our amazing decorative effects such as Autentico's Rust in a Jar or the Dixie Belle Patinas to create rustic and faux antique decorations like this Patina bauble from Artsy Va Va.

Decoupage is a fab crafting technique. Decoupage ornaments, old candlestick holders, Christmas boxes, - whatever takes your fancy! You could even some lovely gift tags for loved ones to have as a keepsake.

Transfers also are fab for updating your decorations! Decorations don't have to be red, green, gold and traditional Christmas patterns, pick whatever theme you want! How gorgeous would floral ornaments be?
