We are re-invigorating the homeware side of the business by cultivating beautiful homeware collections that are also ethical and sustainable. We just love the brand Bombay Duck London! Their products are gorgeous and quirky, and their ethos of kindness to their customers, staff, suppliers and the planet feels complementary to our own. Our first homeware collection will be a range of Bombay Duck London products – we are in the process of finalising the collection and can’t wait to share it with you soon! Keep an eye out for an email and social media announcements!
Which ethical and sustainable homeware brands would you like to see us stock or collab with? We love anything a bit kooky, different and gorgeous! Share your ideas with us by replying to this email.
Simple Steps Towards Sustainability
Thursday 22nd April 2021 is Earth Day – a day that aims to raise awareness of climate change, the importance of creating sustainable habitats, and conservation. These are important issues for world leaders, but we too can be more eco-conscious. We have put together some tips on creating a more eco-friendly space within your home with our blog post ‘How can simple changes make a bedroom more eco-friendly?’ Upcycling furniture and being picky with the materials we use are just a couple of the ways we can reduce our impact on the environment. Read the blog post here for more easy tips.
Expected to arrive at Shabby Nook at the end of April are the Fusion Milk Paint Sample Sticks! See the actual true colour of all 25 Milk Paint colours up close - so helpful when choosing which one to use! Pre-order today!
We are restocking Fusion’s Milk Paint and we'll also be stocking some new accessories such as the Milk Paint Whisk (available for pre-order). We love this milk paint as it is versatile, easy to apply and super quick to dry!
Escape to Paradise!
The sun is out and while we are not able to visit a tropical paradise abroad at the moment, we can bring some of that exotic destination feeling into our homes with our décor! The transfers and decoupage papers from Dixie Belle’s Belles and Whistles range are all stunning and they have some fab bright and tropical options that are perfect for injecting much needed summery vibes into your home. Create a lovely, lush feel with the Tropical Leaves transfer or go for a bright and playful finish with the Latin Floral transfer. Your home really will feel like paradise with the Birds decoupage paper brightening things up and you can transport your mind to the southern hemisphere with the Tropical on Pink decoupage paper – the flowers featured are native to Australia and South Africa! Check out the range of Belles and Whistles transfers and decoupage rice papers at Shabby Nook!
Hazel Lightbody is in the Spotlight this week with this bright and beautiful sideboard! Psst... CUREiously Pink is selling like hot cakes and from Hazel’s transformation you can see why! Don’t forget it’s on a limited release so if you want some, make sure to order ASAP!
It has been a couple of weeks of birthday celebrations at Casa De Shabby Nook! Firstly, it was Mrs Shabby’s big day then it was Mr Nook’s big 4-0!! Celebrations were low-key but we couldn’t let them pass without mentioning them! Happy Belated Birthday to the Boss Lady and her Rock (who is always available in emergency postal situations and without whom we would not be here!)
