How to use Milk Paint by Fusion.

Mixing Fusion Milk Paint is as easy as 1,2,3

1. Just add water
2. Stir
3. And paint

As a general rule, mix 1 part milk paint with 1 part powder and adjust as needed.

Stir for 30 seconds and watch the pigments dissolve into a beautiful creamy consistency.

For shiny surfaces or to stabilise and not create any 'chippyness' on sealed surfaces you can pair the paint with Fusion Ultra Grip to help with adhesion. Just squirt in some ultra grip whilst mixing up your paint.

Finishes

To bring out the depth of colour we recommend sloshing some  Fusion hemp oil over your milk painted furniture, Fusion clear wax or you could seal with Fusions Tough Coat for a waterproof and very high usage items that needs the maximum amount of protection.

You don't have to apply a topcoat if you love a super dead matt finish then skip this step but it is a 'porous' paint just be mindful of this for high usage items that may absorb grease marks / stains.

TIPS: Consistently mix your paint from the bottom of the container with a paint brush as pigments can tend to settle at the bottom which can cause colour variation.

Once mixed, test your milk paint to make sure you have the right consistency.

If too much powder is added you will notice a thick and lumpy texture or if too little powder is in the mix you will have a more runny paint swipe which resembles a stain finish.

Fusion Milk Paint is so easy to adjust, just add more water or more powder until you achieve the right texture.

Can you use any other products with Fusion Milk Paint?

YES! To achieve different looks and finishes you can use the Fusion accessories.

For shiny surfaces you can pair the paint with Fusion Ultra Grip to help with adhesion.

If you want to create resist on on the edges of your furniture use Fusion Mineral Paint's Beeswax Distressing Block. Or use  Fusions Beeswax Finish to create a 'Chippy Chic' look by applying the wax strategically in the areas you'd like to see the chipping effect.

Wax is also brilliant for creating unique textures such as the crackle effect. Why not using Fusion Mineral Paint as a bottom coat to show through the cracks?!
