Fusion Mineral Paint - Beeswax Distressing Block - Shabby Nook
Using a wax resist with Fusion Mineral Paint, allows for easy distressing of your painted furniture
For exact placement of distressed lines and edges press the wax along the edges where you would like to see the distressed antiquing effect between layers of Fusion Mineral paint or can be used with other furniture paints such as chalk paint and clay paint. Or rub in a random direction for a chippy industrial look. (remember if heavy distressing is needed make a start before Fusion Mineral Paint becomes touch dry).
Anything that is applied on top of the waxed areas will easily distress without too much sanding. You will notice this resist once you are giving your piece of furniture a light sanding at the end of your application of all layers of paint.
The furniture paint underneath the wax will remain in place, and any paint applied on top of the wax will come off effortlessly, allowing for the perfect distressed look.
Because Fusion Mineral Paint is so awesome and really grabs hold of the furniture, the beeswax block could be your arms best friend. If you like the chippy distressed look then this is a must for your painting tools.
