"Bring Your Own" Beginners Furniture Painting Workshop - Full Day. Are you new to furniture painting? Have an an heirloom that doesn't go with your home decor? Dabbled with painting and not achieved a great result? Then this workshop is ideal for you.
A full day workshop for beginners. There is no betting feeling knowing that you have transformed a piece of furniture into something completely bespoke, and finished to a professional standard. Spend the day with Shereena, learning all there is to know about the different products on the market, transform your own furniture during the day and learn techniques that you can continue to use on future projects.
You will learn core basics: such as what to watch out for when buying furniture, the different types of prep, essential tools and types of brushes.
- Choosing colours and knowing when to change colour direction depending on what the piece of furniture needs are prep wise.
Different application techniques as well as demonstrations on how to achieve different looks and an introduction to accents.
- Care and maintenance, top coating and when not too, common problems and how to over come them
Complete your own furniture project during the workshop!
You will chose your own paint colour / range on the day after the initial introduction to the brands. But if you know the colour / brand that you would like to use, please tell us in advance so we can be sure to set it aside for you. This paint pot you will also take home! Other materials will be provided, such as topcoats / waxes / preparation products.
If you want to take your furniture up a level you can purchase any additional decorative products such as stencils / decoupage / metallics on the day to use with 10% off the purchase price.
At the end of the workshop you will leave with the skills and confidence to paint your own furniture and feel inspired to look at your home with fresh eyes now you know what you can achieve with upcycling.
Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time of the workshop in order to get settled drop off your furniture / park up etc. the workshop will aim to finish by 4 - 4.30pm.

The workshop is held at inside Shabby Nook 82 High Street Burton Upon Trent, Staffordshire, DE14 1LD. Paid parking is available across the road, but there are a number of parking options around the shop, you could drop off your items directly outside and then move your car, you maybe able to find free parking behind Pinocchios Restaurant.

Toilet & hand washing facilities, hand gel and sanitised work areas. Please note that the toilet doesn't have disabled facilities.
The workshop will take place at the rear of the property, there is a small step down into the workshop area. (Please note that if you use a wheelchair or walking aids, please notify us to ensure we can guide you safely to the workshop area)
Nearby - The Granary sandwich shop open until 2.30pm, a cute micro pub Beeratropolis if you fancy an extra Christmas tipple! 5 minute walk from Aldi, 10 minute walk from Burton Upon Trent town centre.

If the item is out of stock we don't always update the website if we are expecting a delivery. This may extend our dispatch times slightly. We aim to dispatch within 1 working day but may not always be possible.
Would would love nothing more than to GUARANTEE all of our service times but on occasions the courier companies and Royal Mail may not meet their quoted times. It happens but we cannot be held accountable for delivery delays. All services still have guarantees suspended.
ReturnsOnline return policy: original packaging unspoilt and unopened or used in anyway can be returned within 14 days from the date of delivery. Only upon inspection will a refund be offered. We are not liable for any incurred return shipping fees. Our policy lasts 14 days, After this time unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused unopened and in the same condition that you received it.
If your item has arrived and its damaged, please contact us within 2 days of receiving your order. send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with details and a photograph of the damage. We will arrange for you to return the item and send a replacement or offer a refund.
If you have completed the shipping information incorrectly on your order and your parcel is not delivered or is 'lost' we do not offer any refunds on the product or cost of shipping.
If we have found an error with our addressing of your parcel we will track and trace with royal mail and seek resolution with them. This can be a timely process. If we cannot track or trace your order after such time a replacement order will be sent to you
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 5 working days.
Returns Sale Items
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.
You are responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
If you are shipping an item over £75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
