Fab upcycler and Shabby Nook Associate, Steffy Carter from Little House of Steffy, transformed this tallboy from unloved to simply chic with Fusion Mineral Paint's Casement (and some old fashioned elbow grease!)

Steffy used Dixie Belle BOSS as a primer - it was her first time using it and she was really impressed with it - before painting it with several coats of Casement to get the desired coverage. She lightly sanded between each coat for a professional finish. Steffy loves the lovely soft white of Casement and says even though you have to use a few coats it is well worth it for the end result. Thanks for sharing with us, Steffy, we love it!

It has been a busy few weeks (or even months!) here at Shabby Nook HQ - we're in the middle of opening a new shop premises, taking on an apprentice (my lovely Lydia!), becoming the UK distributor for Shabby Nook - the list goes on and on!

This weekend I am having some me time with some of my favourite painty ladies - Kate Holt (Colour Me KT), Sarah Pelley (Home Revival) and Sandy Campbell (Feral Furniture Designs) in Matlock! They are doing some location scouting for next years Furniture Painters Business Conference and I am tagging along for a much needed spa weekend and some girly gossip!
