Decorative Accents Workshop


A hands on class learning how decoupage, transfers gold leaf and gilding waxes can help transform every day objects around your home and furniture painting projects.

Suitable for beginners to get an introduction on adding accents to furniture and crafts but delivered in a bite size manner through smaller projects completed during the workshop. 

You can book the morning OR the afternoon OR the full day.


Morning session: 10am - 12.30pm

Learn how to use Napkins, decoupage papers, every day papers and even material. A great way of upcycling and adding interest to furniture. 

All materials and projects provided, will also include some painting and a brief explanation as to how the paint can be used. 


Lunch Break  12.30pm - 1.15pm
Please note we don't have the facilities to provide lunch please bring lunch  with you or visit one the nearby cafe, fast food place or supermarket
Afternoon Session 1.15pm - 4pm

Furniture Transfers gold leaf and gilding is super on trend right now! Shereena will demonstrate on a piece of furniture as to how these can be used to add some bling, subtle enhancing and how to 'cheat' an artistically painted piece with transfers.

You will then get hands on making your own set of coasters taking inspiration from the methods used during the demonstration, each coaster you will paint and then design differently using transfers, gold leaf, foils and gilding wax. 

All materials and projects provided, will also include some painting and a brief explanation as to how the paint can be used. 


All projects made are yours to keep!

Tea coffee and biscuits are provided. We don't have any kitchen type facilities at the new studio so please ensure you bring lunch with you if you are booking the full day. Alternatively there is  Aldi, KFC and a Cafe 10- 15 minutes walk / couple of minutes drive away.

Although there will be heaters available, the studio can feel a little chilly when sat for long periods of time. Please ensure you wear appropriate clothing and shoes, consider bringing an extra layer if you feel the cold. And wear old clothing or something you don't mind getting messy in. Aprons will be provided.

Decorative accent workshops are usually very popular so please book your place as soon as possible.

If you would like to purchase anything on the day of the workshop we offer a 10% discount. 



*All bookings are non refundable

*Please arrive 15 minutes before the workshop begins to allow sufficient time to find parking and grab a brew before we start. If you are running late don't worry but we can't delay starting the workshop. 

*Although our studio is accessible for visitors with mobility needs, the toilets are not. These are located in the building next to us via a narrow corridor and is not suitable for wheelchair access or any type of mobility support. Please call us before booking If this maybe of any concern. 

*Workshops may go over stated times or may finish sooner. Depending on the amount of people booked and ability this can effect the times stated.

*In order for workshops to be a viable part of our business we do need a minimum of 3 bookings for workshops to go a head. On the rare occasion of us not having sufficient bookings we may contact you to arrange another date. We will give you a minimum of 3 days of notice.

Directions to help you: We are located between Pal motors and Furniture Monkey. BEHIND Kenect Recruitment. Parking is available on the main road next to furniture monkey.  Or turn into the drive way next to Kenect Recruitment and park along the left hand side outside the car garages yard. You may be asked to move your car as to allow the garage next door to move cars in and out, don't worry though they don't bite I promise! I know this because its my Dad and brother than run it. ;)
The yard can get very busy, please park in a manner as to allow turning space, and access to the main road. 
Please note the designated parking spaces on the right hand side as you enter are for Kenect recruitment use only  and must not be used Monday - Friday.
Saturday / Sunday workshops the yard is much quieter and parking in the designated spaces for Kenect Recruitment is fine as they are closed at weekends.
